Pelle baby booties pattern in English
The Pelle baby booties are made with knit and purl stitches and worked from the bottom-up. No seaming needed!
The boots/socks are made with 3,5 mm (US 4) (circular) needles. The booties are worked in the round.
You knit the sole back and forth. After that you pick up the stitches from the sides and heel. You finish the boots with 1 x 1 rib knitting.
The baby boots look chic because of the simple design. They are really comfortable.
Finished measurements: 10 cm / 3,8 inches in length (the sole of the sock).
Difficult level: Advanced beginner (sometimes also “Easy”) / Intermediate knitter
Skills required/ technique used: knit & purl, increases, decreases, cast-on and bind off.
Materials: the booties are made with 1 skein of 'supersoft' from the Zeeman (color: 80). If you want to use other yarn, I recommend choosing wool that is suitable for 3 - 4 mm (US 4 - 6) needles.
Gauge/ needles: 3,5 mm (US 4): 22 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm (4 inches) in rib.
Sizes: one size: 0 - 3 months.
