La Pura Vida sweater (mohair edition) pattern in English

La Pura Vida sweater (mohair edition) is a simple raglan sweater. The fit is oversize with balloon sleeves. The sweater is knit top-down, so you can easily adjust the length.

The body and the sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch and finished with rib edges. The neckline is shaped with short rows. The La Pura Vida sweater is designed to have approximately 25 - 30 cm (9,8 - 11,8 inches) of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be 25 - 30 cm (9,8 - 11,8 inches) larges in circumference than your chest measurements.

The sweater is made with (big) 15 mm (US 19) needles. The rib edges are knitted with 12 mm (US 17) needles. The sweater is perfect for wearing during autumn and winter and also for the colder summer nights.

Recommended needles: 15 mm and 12 mm (US 19 and 17)/ 110 and 80 cm ( inches and inches). For sleeves: 60 cm (and 23,6 inches).
Gauge: 7 sts x 10 rows in stockinette stitch 15 mm (US 19) needles.
 
Suggested yarn: You’ll knit the sweater with two strands of yarn from Katia Ingenua (bluegrey) (50 gram is 140 meter = 54 yards. One strand is for 5 - 5,5 mm (US 8 and 9) needles. You’ll need: 300 (300) 350 (400) gram.
